Aerate to Provide Relief

Putting greens have definitely been under stress this summer and with sporadic, heavy rainfall events many rootzones have been saturated. Although it may be scary to do anything to greens besides mowing and applying fungicide, solid tine aerating the greens with small pencil tines can provide some much needed oxygen to an already depleted root system. Follow pencil tine aeration with mowing and rolling and the evidence of surface disruption will be gone within days.
