Athletic Field Systems Performance Study | 210k
This report summarizes the 3 year study conducted by MSU scientists evaluating
15 natural sports turf sytems on the market. Researchers subjected each
field sytem to simulated American football traffic over multiple seasons.
Turf cover and surface playability characteristics were determined throughout
the season. Soil infiltration rates were measured at the conclusion of
each season. This report includes the data and conclusions from this study.

An aesthetically pleasing and functional high school athletic field is often important to a variety of members in the community. There are a number of construction/renovation methods for improving field conditions. The SCBUS is the least expensive renovation method for natural turf fields. This document describes the key components of the build-up method, lists the steps and answers many frequently asked questions.
Kentucky Bluegrass Cultivars for Michigan | 316k
Kentucky bluegrass is the most widely used turfgrass in Michigan. It is used in home lawns, institutional grounds, parks and athletic fields. The species is persistent and attractive and has a medium to fine leaf texture and medium to dark green color when properly fertilized.
